Dolores Zekas South Plainfield - Dolores (Ruk) Zekas, 75, died on Friday, August 22, 2008 at JFK Medical Center in Edison. Born in Plymouth, Pennsylvania, Mrs. Zekas was raised in Swoyersville, PA and lived in North Plainfield prior to settling in South Plainfield in 1959. A longtime communicant of Our Lady of Czestochowa RC Church in South Plainfield, Dolores served as Past President of the Altar Rosary Society. She was also active with the South Plainfield Senior Citizens where she served as the Past President of South Plainfield Senior Citizens Club. In addition, Mrs. Zekas is a lifetime member of the South Plainfield Polish National Home. Surviving are her husband Joseph of 56 years, her 3 daughters; Patricia-Ann Loesch and her husband Jack of Keyport, Diane Brand and her husband Paul, and Joann O'Keefe and her husband Charles, and her 2 sons; Richard and his wife Diane and Joseph Jr. and his wife Sherry all of South Plainfield. Also surviving are her 8 grandchildren; Jessica and Sara Loesch, Christopher and Kyle O'Keefe, and Richard, Lauren, Joseph and Nicole Zekas. Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, August 26, 2008 at 9:15 AM in the McCriskin - Gustafson Home For Funerals, 2425 Plainfield Ave., South Plainfield followed by a 10:00 AM funeral mass at Our Lady of Czestochowa RC Church, South Plainfield. Interment will follow at Resurrection Burial Park, Piscataway. Visitation will be held on Monday, August 25, 2008 from 2-4 & 7-9 PM in the funeral home.
