Bertha Kolba
Lanoka Harbor - Bertha (Andresak) Kolba, 94 passed away Thursday, January 7, 2010 at Tallwoods Care Center in Bayville, NJ.
Born in Perth Amboy, she has resided in Hillside, Union and in Toms River before settling with her daughter in Lanoka Harbor.
Mrs. Kolba was employed as an assembly worker with the former Lockheed Martin in Watchung and during WWII, she was a vital volunteer helping the war efforts as a "Rosie the Riveter."
She enjoyed spending her time doing artwork and needlecraft as well as the time spent with her family.
Bertha is predeceased by her husband Michael, her son, Phillip Sujkowski and three brothers Edward, Steve and Joseph Belly.
Surviving are her daughter, Felicia Pasko, sisters, Sally Ferrara and Helen Murphy and brother, John Belly. Also surviving are her grandchildren, Kathleen Thomas, Ronald Pasko, Dawn Auerbach and Staci Furman and six great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, January 11, 2010 at 9:15 AM from the McCriskin - Gustafson Home for Funerals, 2425 Plainfield Ave., South Plainfield, followed by a 10:00 AM funeral mass in Sacred Heart Church, South Plainfield.
Interment will follow in Gate of Heaven in East Hanover.
Family and friends may attend the visitation hours on Sunday, January 10, 2010 from 2-4 & 7-9 PM.
