Obituary of Hazel Fodor

Hazel Fodor Loving Mother and Grandmother South Plainfield - Hazel (Figler) Fodor, 86, died on Monday, June 2, 2008 at JFK Medical Center in Edison. Born and raised on Staten Island, Hazel has resided in South Plainfield since 1993. A homemaker, Mrs. Fodor served with the Army during WWII and was a member of the Staten Island VFW Gold Star Post Ladies Auxillary. An avid bingo player, Hazel enjoyed sewing, crocheting, reading, and spending time with friends. In addition, she was also a member of the South Plainfield Senior Citizens. She is pre-deceased by her husband Alexander who passed away in 1994, her son John who died in 2004, her sister Margaret "Tiny" Kuzma and her brother Edwin "Ace" Figler. Surviving are her 2 sons; Kenneth and his wife Debbie of Staten Island and Donald and his wife Debbie of Dunellen, her sister Helen "Sweets" Reho of Monroe and her 2 brothers; Henry Figler of Toms River and Bernard "Bim" Figler of Florida. Also surviving are her 6 grandchildren; Melissa, Billy, Caity, Andrew, Alexandra, and Kevin Fodor. Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, June 5, 2008 at 11:00 AM in the McCriskin - Gustafson Home For Funerals, 2425 Plainfield Ave., South Plainfield. Interment will follow in Oceanview Cemetery, Staten Island, NY. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, June 4, 2008 from 2-4 & 7-9 PM in the funeral home
