Virginia F. O'Brien Plainfield - Virginia F. O'Brien, 93, died on Monday, February 26, 2007 at JFK Hartwyck Cedar Brook Nursing Home in Plainfield. Born in Hoboken, Virginia had resided in Hoboken for most of her life before recently moving to Edison before entering Cedar Brook. She had been employed as an administrative secretary for the CETA Program for the City of Hoboken for several years before retiring in the 1970's. Her husband, Maurice died in 1978. She is also predeceased by two sons, Michael & Patrick, her two sisters, Josephine Guinan & Irene Canning and her three brothers, James, George & John Lillis. She is survived by her daughter, Maura &her husband, Robert Hansen of Lakewood, her son Kevin & his wife Sue O'Brien of South Plainfield and her niece, Gerry Calligy. Also surviving are five dear grandchildren, Debra, Robert, Deirdre, Keri & Kevin and twelve great grandchildren. Funeral service will be held on Friday, March 2, 2007 at 9:30 AM in the McCriskin Home For Funerals, 2425 Plainfield Ave., South Plainfield, NJ followed by a 10:30 AM funeral mass in St. Bartholomew RC Church, Scotch Plains, NJ. Interment will follow in Holy Cross Cemetery, North Arlington. Visitation will be held on Thursday, March 1, 2007 from 2-4 & 7-9 PM in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, donation in her memory may be made to Cedar Brook Nursing Home, 1340 Park Avenue, Plainfield, NJ 07060. "> "> ">
