Joan Heer South Plainfield - Joan B. Heer (Brown), 76 died early Sunday morning at Muhlenberg Regional Medical Center in Planifield. Born and raised in Wilkinsburg, Pennsylvania, Mrs. Heer has lived in South Plainfield since 1956. A member of St. Stephens Lutheran Church in South Plainfield, Mrs. Heer was a member of the church's Lutheranne Circle, she is a former member of the church council, and she is also a former Sunday School teacher where she taught Sunday School for more than 10 years. A wonderful mother and grandmother, Joan attended all of her grandchildren's sporting events. She was an avid reader and loved the jersey shore. She is pre-deceased by her brother Buzzy Brown. Surviving are her husband Walter H. Jr. of South Plainfield, her 3 daughters; Joyce Keller and her husband Don of Oakhurst, Christy Wagner and her husband Dave of Perkasie, Pa., and Sandy Buck and her husband Bob of South Plainfield, her son Rick and his wife Diane of Feeding Hills, Ma., 11 grandchildren; Jonathan Keller & Kristin Heyser, Suzanne, Brian, Kelly, & Andrew Wagner, Caitlin & Tyler Heer & Michael, Kyle, & Adam Buck. Also surviving are her 3 great-grandchildren; Danielle, Melissa, and Abigail Keller. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the McCriskin - Gustafson Home For Funerals, 2425 Plainfield Ave., South Plainfield. Cremation is private. A Memorial Service will be held on Sunday, April 22, 2007 at 12:30 PM at St. Stephens Lutheran Church, South Plainfield In Lieu of flowers donations may be made in Joan's memory to the St. Stephens Lutheran Church, 3145 Park Ave., South Plainfield.
