Obituary of Virginia J. Morris

Virginia "Jeannie" Morris Piscataway, NJ - Virginia J. "Jeannie" Morris, 86, died on Sunday, January 16, 2011 at Somerset Medical Center in Somerville. Born in Newark, she has resided in Irvington and Elizabeth before settling to Piscataway many years ago. She was homemaker for most of her life and was a member of the Silver Tones, a musical group from the Sterling Village Senior Complex in Piscataway. Jeannie is predeceased by her husband Edward and her sister Estelle Hayes. She is survived by her two daughters and sons-in-law, Carol and Bill Arms of South Plainfield and Mary & Jim Fox of North Carolina and by her son and daughter in law John & Vivian Morris of Milltown. She also leaves behind her five grandchildren; Danny, Kelly, Kimberly, Kevin and Andrew, her three great-grandchildren; Angel, Michael and Matthew and by her sister Doris Murray. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, January 20, 2011 beginning 11:30 AM in the McCriskin-Gustafson Home for Funerals, 2425 Plainfield Avenue, South Plainfield, NJ 07080. Internment will follow in Hillside Cemetery, Scotch Plains. Visitation will take place in the funeral home on Wednesday, January 19, 2011 from 2-4 & 7-9 PM and on Thursday from 11:00 AM until the service time.
