David Atwood Dryden
South Plainfield - David Atwood Dryden, 71, passed into God's loving hands on November 6, 2010.
He and his late wife Sieglinde, had lived in South Plainfield since 1967.
After St. Mark's School'57 and Princeton University '61 he served in the US Army MP Corps '63-'65 in Germany. Upon returning in to the US he worked for the Sun Oil Co. in Newark, NJ; then for Emil-Hamilton Inc. in West Paterson, NJ and he retired from General Public Utilities, Oyster Creek Nuclear Generating Station, Forked River, NJ in 1995.
He is survived by his sister, Linda Atwood Dryden of Charleston, SC and her family; his sons; Oliver E. Braun, wife Bernadette, grandsons; Jordan Atwood Braun and Cory Lee Braun; and son Norman Braun and wife Martha all of Pennsylvania.
A graveside service for family, friends and neighbors will be held on Friday, November 12, 2010 at 12:00 PM at Hillside Cemetery, Scotch Plains, NJ.
Memorial Donations instead of flowers may be made to the American Institute of Cancer Research.
Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the McCriskin - Gustafson Home For Funerals, 2425 Plainfield Ave., South Plainfield, NJ 07080.
