South Plainfield - Gloria Y. Galvez, 69, died on Tuesday, February 26, 2008 at Somerset Medical Center in Somerville.
Born in the Philippines, Gloria resided there for most of her before coming to the United States in 1997.
She worked for Nathan's in Bridgewater and Somerset Medical Center in the Housekeeping department.
Gloria enjoyed to cook and was very faithful to Catholicism and will be missed by her many friends.
Surviving are 2 daughters; Marissa Zychlinski and her husband Ted of South Plainfield and Chrisitina Joves and her husband Fernando of Natick, MA., 2 sister and 3 brother of the Philippines and her 6 grandchildren; Vina, Isabel, David, Christopher, Bianca, and Samantha.
A Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, March 1, 2008 at 11:00 AM at Our Lady of Fatima RC Church, Piscataway.
Cremation is private.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, March 1, 2008 from 8:30 AM - 10:30 AM in the McCriskin - Gustafson Home For Funerals, 2425 Plainfield Ave., South Plainfield
