Albert P. Miserendino Plainfield - Albert P. Miserendino, 81, died on Wednesday, April 2, 2008 in the Haven Hospice at Muhlenberg Regional Medical Center in Plainfield. Born in Norwalk, CT, Al was raised in Plainfield and resided in South Plainfield for more than 30 years before moving back to Plainfield. A carpenter by trade, Al was the owner of the former Alfran Builders of South Plainfield. He built numerous homes in South Plainfield as well as other local towns in the same capacity. Mr. Miserendino served with the Navy during WWI. He was a member of the Scotch Plains American Legion Post 209, a member of Plainfield's UNICO where he served as Past Vice President, and was also a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles located in the Plainfield area. Surviving are his daughter Maryann Burns and her husband John of Vernon, CT, 3 grandchildren; Kristin Niederman, Allison Ronzo, and Brian Acrin. Al is also survived by newly born great grandchild Nathaniel Niederman. A Memorial gathering will be held on Saturday, April 5, 2007 from 2-4 PM in the McCriskin - Gustafson Home For Funerals , 2425 Plainfield Ave., South Plainfield. Cremation was private. Donations can be made to the JFK Haven Hospice, C/O JFK Medical Center, 65 James St., Edison, NJ 08818.
