Julie Marcell Diamond Beach - Julie (Nittoli) Marcell, 85, died on Monday, July 27, 2009 at the Courthouse Convalescent Center in Cape May Courthouse. Born and raised in Newark, Mrs. Marcell resided in Irvington for 50 years before moving to Edison, finally settling in Diamond Beach 10 years ago. After graduating from Central High School in Newark, Julie entered the workforce as a career woman working most of her life. She is pre-deceased by her husband Joseph M. who died in 1998, her brother Anthony Nittoli, her sister Elaine Mari and her brothers in laws Michael Frino, Dominick Anzano, Charles, Andrew, Donald and Frank Marcell and Anthony Mari Surviving are her 2 daughters; Denise Marcell of Diamond Beach, NJ and Michelle E. Lapatchka (John) of Yardly, PA, her grandchildren; Donald M. Stanzione, Joseph M. Stanzione both of Edison(Ashley Elliott) and John Daniel Lapatchka, her great grandson Joseph M. Stanzione Jr., her sisters; Marie Frino, Eve Mistretta (Frank) and Caroline Carmerdella (Anthony), her sisters in laws; Madeline Marcell, Dolores Marcell and Nancy Layhen (Jack). Also surviving are close family friends; Maureen Murphy, Babe Viggiano and June Jacobs as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins. Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, August 1, 2009 at 8:30 AM in the McCriskin - Gustafson Home For Funerals, 2425 Plainfield Ave., South Plainfield, NJ 07080 followed by a 9:30 AM funeral Mass at St. Helena's RC Church, Edison. Interment will follow at Hollywood Cemetery, Union, NJ. Visitation will be held on Friday, July 31, 2009 from 7-9 PM in the funeral home.
