Obituary of Doris E. Kinney

Doris Kinney South Plainfield - Doris E. (Richards) Kinney, 87, died on Tuesday, August 11, 2009 at JFK Medical Center in Edison. Born a raised in Belfast, Maine, Dot has resided in South Plainfield for over 50 years. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter - Day Saints in Scotch Plains. Known by many of the church families as "Grandma" and she was also a teacher within the church's Primary Association program. In addition, she worked as an assembler for Westinghouse in Edison for many years and was also a member of the Edison Red Hat Society She is pre-deceased by her brother Linwood. Surviving is her brother Lawrence Richards of South Plainfield, her loving niece Betty Ann Richards also of South Plainfield, her dear friends John and Karan Haley of Greenbrook and Carmen Linford of Edison, her cousin Hazel Bryant of Belfast, Maine as well as many loving friends. Visitation and Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, August 15, 2009 beginning at 1:00 PM at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter - Day Saints in Scotch Plains. Interment will be held on Monday, August 17, 2009 at Smart Cemetery, Belfast, Maine. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the McCriskin - Gustafson Home For Funerals, 2425 Plainfield Ave., South Plainfield.
