Mary A. Curtis
South Plainfield - Mary A. (Coppola) Curtis, passed away peacefully at her home on Wednesday, November 24, 2010.
Born in New York City, She was one of nine children born to the late Assunta and Biaggio Coppola. She was raised in Plainfield and later resided in North Plainfield for many years before recently settling to South Plainfield.
Mary had attended the Plainfield Schools and was employed by the former Howell Electric Company in Plainfield for 40 years prior to her retirement.
She is a former member of the North Plainfield Italian American Club's Women Auxiliary and St. Joseph's RC Church.
Predeceased by her two sisters, Angie Viano and Fortune Weber and three brothers, Michael, Frank and George Coppola..
Surviving are her husband of 62 years, David, a daughter; Susan and her husband Dominick Costabile; a sister, Rose Carroccia and two brothers, Anthony and John Coppola.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, November 29, 2010 at 9:15 AM in the McCriskin - Gustafson Home For Funerals 2425 Plainfield Avenue, South Plainfield, NJ 07080 followed by a 10:00 AM funeral mass in St. Joseph's RC Church, North Plainfield.
Interment will follow in Hillside Cemetery, Scotch Plains.
Family and friends may attend the visitation hours on Sunday, November 28, 2010 from 2-4 & 7-9 PM in the funeral home.
