Obituary of Marian F. Brooks

Marian F. Brooks South Plainfield, NJ - Marian F. (Fister) Brooks, 83, died on Tuesday, August 10, 2010 at her home. She grew up in Bethlehem, PA and resided in South Plainfield since 1957. A devoted wife and mother, she cared for her family as a homemaker. She was very involved as a member of Grace Episcopal Church in Plainfield, and belonged to their Women''s Bible Study Group. Having a love for religious music, she composed her own and enjoyed teaching young children. She was also a member of the Plainfield Symphony Orchestra. Marian is predeceased by her husband William D. Brooks who passed away on February 14, 2009. She leaves behind her two loving sons; Steven Brooks and William Brooks and his wife Denise all of South Plainfield, her granddaughters Deanna Seiple, Krissy Uhler and Nikki Brooks, her great-granddaughters Holly and Abby Seiple and Ellie Uhler and by her brother, Lee Fister and his wife Judy. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, August 14, 2010 beginning 10:00 AM in the Grace Episcopal Church, 600 Cleveland Avenue, Plainfield, NJ 07060. Burial will follow in Hillside Cemetery, Scotch Plains. Visitation will be on Friday, August 13, 2010 in the McCriskin-Gustafson Home for Funerals, 2425 Plainfield Avenue, South Plainfield, NJ 07080 from 4-7 PM.
