Obituary of Robert J. Bernauer

Robert J. Bernauer "Bobby" South Plainfield, NJ - Robert J. "Bobby" Bernauer, 29, died suddenly on Friday, June 26, 2009. Born in New Brunswick, he has been a lifelong resident of South Plainfield. As a 1998 graduate of South Plainfield High School, Bobby enjoyed being an athlete competing in three sports; football, baseball and wrestling. Bobby continued his studies at Kean University and Fairleigh Dickinson University and was a semester shy of completing his education. He leaves behind his parents, William and Tina Bernauer of South Plainfield, his brothers James and his wife Robin and William Jr. and his wife Laura; his maternal grandmother Sarah Raspa along with his nieces and nephew Carrie, Troy and Haley and many extended relatives and friends. A funeral mass will be offered on Tuesday, June 30, 2009 beginning at 10:00 AM in Sacred Heart RC Church, 149 South Plainfield Avenue, South Plainfield, NJ Burial will follow mass in Hillside Cemetery, Scotch Plains, NJ. Relatives and friends may attend the visitation in the McCriskin-Gustafson Home for Funerals, 2425 Plainfield Avenue, South Plainfield, NJ 07080 on Monday, June 29, 2009 from 6-9 PM. Memorial donations in his memory may be made to Sacred Heart Church, C/O Fr. John Alvarado.
