Catherine Stillman South Plainfield- Catherine F. "Kay" Stillman, 81, died on Sunday evening March 22, 2009 at home with her family at her side after a short illness. Born in Brooklyn, N.Y., to the late Hugh & Eleanor McMahon, Ms. Stillman had resided in Dunellen & Plainfield before settling to South Plainfield in 1986. Kay was employed as a Head Cashier for the former Two Guys Department Store of North Plainfield for 20 years before retiring in 1981. She was a communicant of Sacred Heart Church in South Plainfield and a member of the Retail Non Food Workers of America Local # 1262 of Clifton. Her husband Joseph died in 1985. She is also predeceased by her sons, Hugh in 1986, Frank in 2003 and her sister, Margaret Harrison in 1999. Surviving are her daughter, Nancy Stillman - Pender of South Plainfield, her son, Thomas Stillman of Clark and three beloved grandchildren, Erin Pender, Samantha & Tommy Stillman. Funeral services will be held on Thursday March 26, 2009 at 10:30 AM in the McCriskin - Gustafson Home For Funerals, 2425 Plainfield Ave. South Plainfield, NJ followed by a 11:30 AM Funeral Mass in Sacred Heart Church. Interment will follow in Hillside Cemetery, Scotch Plains. Relatives & friends are invited to attend the visitation hours on Wednesday, March 25, 2009 from 3-5 & 7-9 PM in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to the Haven Hospice, C/O 65 James Street, Edison, NJ 08820.
