Obituary of Mary T. Massaro

Mary Massaro Toms River - Mary Massaro, 99, died on Friday, August 13, 2010 at Community Medical Center in Toms river. Born in Di Ascoli Piceno, Italy, Mrs. Massaro resided in Kearney for most of life before moving to Toms River 5 years ago. For over 60 years Mary was an active parishioner at St. Anthony's RC Church in East Newark. She was a member of the Altar Rosary Society and ran the church bingo for over 25 years. She is pre-deceased by her husband the Late Lawrence Massaro who died in 1993, 1 brother and 1 sister. Surviving are her 3 children; Elvira Larsen and her husband Richard of Toms River, Lawrence J. and his wife Doris of South Plainfield and Eugene A. and his wife Helen also of South Plainfield and her 10 grandchildren; Larry III and Lorri Massaro, Dina Capparelli, Richard and Michael Larsen, Eugene, Thomas and Daniel Massaro, and Ann Marie Kukich and Theresa Hart. Also surviving are 22 great grandchildren. Funeral Services will be held on Monday, August 16, 2010 at 8:30 AM in the McCriskin - Gustafson Home for Funerals, 2425 Plainfield Ave., South Plainfield, NJ 07080 followed by a 10:00 AM funeral mass at St. Anthony's RC Church, East Newark. Interment will follow in Holy Cross Cemetery, North Arlington. Visitation will be held on Sunday, August 15, 2010 from 3-7 PM in the funeral home.
