Viola K. Seleski
Edison - Viola K. Seleski, 87, passed away with her family at her side on Thursday evening April 1, 2010 at Genesis Eldercare-The Woodlands in Plainfield.
One of eight daughters born to Charles and Antoinette Marchese, Viola was born in Troy, NY, and moved to Plainfield, NJ in 1946. In the mid 1950's, she settled to the new home her and her husband built in Edison, NJ.
She had been employed as the Assistant V.P. for the former Queen City Savings & Loan in Plainfield before her retirement in the early 1980's.
Predeceased by a great grandchild, Ziarah and four sisters, Antoinette, Anne, Catherine and Aida. Viola is survived by her beloved husband, Joseph E. Seleski; two dear daughters, JoAnn Burke and her husband, Jack and Linda Omoletski; three sisters, Angela, Regina and Jeannie; five grandchildren, Michael Marchese, Stephen Omoletski, Jason Omoletski, Melissa Valenti and Tara Vonch; six great grandchildren, Dillon, Madison, Marissa Jo, Taylor, Miyah and Violanda as well as an additional great grandchild expected in September. She is also survived by a special family friend, Keith Hillyard.
A funeral mass will be celebrated on Thursday, April 8, 2010 at 9:30 AM in St. Helena's RC Church,
950 Grove Avenue
, Edison, NJ.
Interment will follow in Hillside Cemetery, Scotch Plains.
Family & Friends may attend the visitation on Wednesday, April 7, 2010 from 2-4 PM only in the McCriskin - Gustafson Home For Funerals,
