Hillside - Sam Oliner, 84, died on Thursday, May 22, 2008 at the Genesis Care Center in Westfield.
The son of Aaron and Freida Oliner, Sam was born and raised in Newark until he married and moved to Hillside, residing there for 40 years.
Mr. Oliner had owned and operated Tops TV which, for over 20 years, was located in Irvington. After closing his store he moved his business to his home where, he operated until his retirement 4 years ago.
Surviving are his wife Harriet (Tevelow), his 2 daughters; Gayle Flora and her husband Dave of Wyomissing, PA., and Marci Gittleman and her husband Mark of Elizabeth, his sister Floraine Miller of West Orange and by his 3 grandchildren; Alyssa, Matthew, and Jared Flora.
A Graveside Service will be held on Sunday, May 25, 2008 at 10:30 at the family plot at Beth Israel Cemetery in Woodbridge.
Arrangements are under the direction of the McCriskin - Gustafson Home For Funerals, 2425 Plainfield Ave., South Plainfield.
