Barbara Zultowski Registered Nurse, 73 South Plainfield - Barbara A. Zultowski, 73, died peacefully in her home on Tuesday, January 12, 2010 surrounded by her loving family. Born in Jersey City, Barbara has been a resident of South Plainfield since 1966. She was a graduate of Jersey City Medical Center School of Nursing. Barbara worked as a registered nurse in the labor and delivery unit at Muhlenberg Regional Medical Center in Plainfield for over 35 years before retiring in 2001. Barbara is predeceased by her husband, Edward Zultowski who died in 1983 and her sister, Audrey Shuster, who died in 2006. Surviving are three daughters and their husbands, Karen Palleija and Juan of Union, Susan Barletta and Alex of South Plainfield, Lori Iavarone and Joseph of South Plainfield and her son, Steven and his wife, Regina of South Plainfield. Also surviving are seven grandchildren, Alex and Adam Barletta, Amanda Iavarone, Nicole, Lauren & Steven Zultowski and Dylan Palleija. Funeral services will be held on Friday, January 15, 2010 at 9:15AM in the McCriskin-Gustafson Home For Funerals, 2425 Plainfield Avenue, South Plainfield, NJ 07080 followed by a 10:00 AM funeral mass in Our Lady of Czestochowa RC Church, South Plainfield, NJ Interment will follow mass in Hillside cemetery, Scotch Plains. Family & friends may attend the visitation hours on Thursday, January 14, 2010 from 2-4 & 7-9 PM in the funeral home.
