Philip Dudak South Plainfield - Philip Dudak Sr., 83 died on Monday, January 10, 2011 in the Haven Hospice at JFK Medical Center in Edison. Born and raised in Buttonwood, PA., Phil has resided in South Plainfield since he was 18 years old. He was a member of the Laborer's International Union of North America Local # 472 and he recently received his 50 year membership certificate. Mr. Dudak served with the Army during WWII and was a former member of the South Plainfield VFW Post 6763. He was a talented garderner who loved spending time at the beach and for many years Phil was a fixture at the Corner Deli in South Plainfield. His wife Amelia passed away in 1994 and he is also precedeased by a sister Alberta DeSepio and brothers; John, Leonard and Lawrence Dudak. Surviving are his daughter Anne Marie Esposito and her husband Michael of Edison, his son Philip Jr. of South Plainfield, his loving granddaughter and her husband Rosanne and Steve Galtes, his great granddaughter Guliana whom he cherished, 3 sisters; Beth Carbonneau of Alabama, Lillian Barnes and her husband David of South Plainfield, Sandra Hasson of Dunellen and 2 brothers; Frederick J. Dudak and his wife Therese of Maine and Stanley "Butch" Bolesta and his wife Doreen of South Plainfield. Also surviving are his sister inlaw Mary Dudak of South Plainfield and numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral Services will held on Friday, January 14, 2011 at 10:15 AM in the McCriskin - Gustafson Home For Funerals, 2425 Plainfield Ave., South Plainfield, NJ 07080 followed by an 11:00 AM funeral mass at Our Lady of Czestochowa RC Church, South Plainfield. Interment will follow at Holy Redeemer Cemetery, South Plainfield. Visitation will be held on Thursday, January 13, 2011 from 2-4 & 7-9 PM in the funeral home.
