Rosa Bottone
South Plainfield-Rosa Bottone, 80, died on Wednesday, June 16, 2010 at the Bridgeway Care Center in Bridgewater.
Born and raised in Maddaloni, Italy, Mrs. Bottone first came to the United States in 1957 living in Plainfield. In 1964, Rosa returned to Italy for 8 years before moving back to Plainfield and in 1980 Mrs. Bottone finally settled in South Plainfield.
She took great pride in her family and providing for others. She was a mother to more than just her own children. She loved to cook and feed others and Rosa enjoyed gardening and knitting.
Her husband Joseph died in 2007.
Surviving is her daughter Francesca D'Antuono and her husband Aniello of Somerset, her 2 sons; Clemente and his wife Maria of South Plainfield and Louie and his wife Julia of Hillsborough, and her grandchildren; Frank D'Antuono, Antionette Estadt, Joseph, Roseanna, Louie Jr., and Kristina Bottone. Also surviving are her 5 great grandchildren as well as several loving relatives.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, June 19, 2010 at 8:45 AM in the McCriskin-Gustafson Home For Funerals, 2425 Plainfield Avenue, South Plainfield, NJ 07080, followed by a 9:30 AM Funeral Mass at Our Lady of Czestochowa RC Church, South Plainfield.
Entombment will follow at Holy Redeemer Cemetery Mausoleum, South Plainfield.
Visitation will be held on Friday, June 18, 2010 from 2-4 & 7-9 PM in the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers the family would like to accept donations on behalf of the Bridgeway Care Center C/O 2425 Plainfield Avenue, South Plainfield, NJ 07080 for any near future projects or items the facility may need.
