Obituary of Mary C. McKnight

Mary C. McKnight South Plainfield- Mary C. McKnight (Lynch) 84, died on Thursday, January 3, 2008 at home She is the daughter of the late Bertha and Lou Williams. Born in Newark moved to East Orange, and settled in South Plainfield since 1953. Mary worked as a crossing guard for JFK and Sacred Heart Schools in South Plainfield for 45 years, retiring in 2006. She was also a member of Sacred Heart RC Church. Mary is pre-deceased by her sister, Beatrice Jaszczuct and brother James Lynch. Surviving is her husband, Charles McKnight and sons, Gary and his wife Gerilyn of South Plainfield and Kevin and his wife Linda of Oxford, and sister, Dorothy Dunn. Also surviving are grandchildren Matthew, Jeffrey, Christopher, Jessica, and Kimberly along with many nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, January 8, 2008 at 9:15 AM in the McCriskin - Gustafson Home For Funerals, 2425 Plainfield Ave., South Plainfield. Entombment will be at Holy Redeemer Mausoleum in South Plainfield. Visitation will be Monday, January 7, 2008 from 2-4 & 7-9 PM in the funeral home.
