Harry W. Biles
South Plainfield, NJ - Harry W. Biles, 73, died on Friday, December 19, 2008 at JFK Medical Center in Edison. Born in Elizabeth, Harry lived in Millburn, but spent most of his life in South Plainfield.
Harry received an honorable discharge from the United States Marine Corp in 1961.
For over forty years, Harry worked for Elizabeth Town Water Company, spending about twenty-five years as a Backhoe Operator. He was a member of the South Plainfield American Legion, Chaumont Post #243, the Marine League and was former V.P. of Local #423 AFLCIO.
His daily routine was to take walks in Spring Lake Park and he enjoyed attending his grandchildren's baseball and football games.
He is predeceased by his parents William and Marie Biles.
Harry is survived by his wife, Lee (Bushman), his daughters; Tammy Welch of Dover Foxcroft, ME and Colleen Kolvites and her husband William of Barnegat, his two grandchildren who referred to him as pop; Kimberly and Adam Kolvites and by his two brothers; William Biles of Manchester and John Biles of Charlotte, NC.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, December 23, 2008 beginning 10:00 AM in the First Baptist Church of South Plainfield.
Cremation services will be held private.
Visitation will be on Monday, December 22, 2008 in the McCriskin-Gustafson Home for Funerals, 2425 Plainfield Avenue, South Plainfield, NJ 07080 from 2-4 & 7-9 PM
