Lois V. Gorman-Eggers
Piscataway - Lois V. Gorman - Eggers, 78, died on Saturday, February 23, 2008 at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in New Brunswick.
Born in Elizabeth, Lois had resided in Cranford and South Plainfield where she had resided for most of her life before settling to Piscataway 14 years ago.
Lois worked as a waitress for 32 years at the former Knotty Pine Diner on Park Avenue in South Plainfield. She was a member of the Woodbridge Elks #2116 Women's Auxiliary and was an Avid Yankee fan. In addition, Lois enjoyed playing Bingo at Sacred Heart in South Plainfield and St. Helena's in Edison.
She is predeceased by her son, Kevin Leavitt and her nephew, Thomas Caulfield, Jr. Surviving are her husband, David, her eight children, Lois (Steve) Feher, Michael (Georgeanne) Leavitt, Debra (Donald) Panek, Stephan (Anne) Leavitt, Paul (Sheila) Graczyk, Thomas J. (Sharon) Gorman, Jr., Darren P. (Jill) Gorman and James E. (Randi) Gorman. Her daughter in law, Bettie Leavitt, her sister, Harriett Caulfield and her niece Sherry Hudzik. Also surviving are 19 grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, February 27, 2008 at 10:00 AM in the McCriskin - Gustafson Home For Funerals, 2425 Plainfield Avenue, South Plainfield, NJ 07080.
Interment will follow in Graceland Memorial Park in Kenilworth, NJ
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, Febraury 26, 2008 from 5-8 PM in the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers donation in her memory may be made to the American Cancer Society or the American Diabetes Foundation.
