Florence Skaritka
South Plainfield - Florence Ruhl Mertz Skaritka passed away on December 27, 2010 in the Haven Hospice at JFK Medical Center in Edison.
Born in Newark, Mrs. Skaritka resided in North Brunswick before moving to South Plainfield to reside with her daughter Lillian Kaiser and her husband William.
In addition to her daughter Lillian, she also leaves behind a daughter Virginia Peterson and her husband Raymond of Waretown 7 grandchildren 11 great grandchildren and her brother Arthur Ruhl and her sister inlaw Mary.
She is predeceased by her husbands George Mertz and Steve Skaritka and 3 brothers; Edward, William and Richard Ruhl.
Florence was employed by GNC Nutrition Center in Woodbridge and later by Dawn Health Food Shop of East Brunswick.
Relatives and friends will be gathering on Thursday, December 30, 2010 at 10:00 AM in the McCriskin - Gustafson Home For Funerals, 2425 Plainfield Ave., South Plainfield, NJ 07080 followed by an 11:00 AM funeral blessing in the funeral home.
Interment will follow at St. Teresa's Cemetery, Summit.
