Terry David Jamieson
Bear, Delaware - Terry D. Jamieson entered into eternal life on Thursday, September 9, 2010. Born and raised in Windsor, Ontario, Terry moved to New Jersey in 1962 and later relocated to Delaware for his career six years ago.
Having served in the United States Navy, Terry served two years active duty on the USS Graham County LST1176 out of Portsmouth, Va and was honorably discharged as a Seaman. He retired from General Motors two years ago as a Skilled Trades Welder.
He was a true family man who loved spending time with his children and grandchildren. He enjoyed gardening, crossword puzzles and landscaping, had a passion for detailing his high end autos and was a huge sports fan, especially the New York Rangers and New York Giants.
Terry is survived by his four beautiful children and their spouses; Christine Nafziger (Richard) of Toms River, Suzanne Shaw (Jarrath) of High Bridge, David Jamieson (Lisa) of Middlesex and Jeffrey Jamieson (Annette) of Little Ferry. He also leaves behind his eight adored grandchildren and by his former wife Sylvia Jamieson-Reilly of Annandale. He was a wonderful father and grandfather and Terry will be missed by all that knew him.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, September 15, 2010 beginning 9:15 AM in the McCriskin-Gustafson Home for Funerals, 2425 Plainfield Avenue, South Plainfield, NJ 07080 followed by a 10:00 AM funeral mass at Sacred Heart RC Church in South Plainfield. Burial will follow in Resurrection Burial Park in Piscataway.
Relatives and friends may attend the visitation in the funeral home on Tuesday, September 14, 2010 from 2-4 & 7-9 PM.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be sent to the St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
