Frank A. Butrico Edison - Frank A. Butrico, 75, died on Monday, July 20, 2009 at JFK Medical Center in Edison. Born in the Bronx, Frank moved to South Plainfield in 1937 where he resided prior to settling in Edison in 1980. He graduated from North Plainfield High School in 1952 and during all 4 years of school Frank played on the varsity baseball team. In 1968 Frank started his family business ; Lehigh Utility Associates, Inc. in South Plainfield. Before starting the business he worked as a manager for Federal Pacific in Newark. An avid golfer, Frank was a member of the Metuchen Golf and Country Club and throughout his children's youth, he was active in the South Plainfield Junior Baseball Club as well as the South Plainfield Pop Warner Eagles Football program. In addition, Mr. Butrico was a member of the South Plainfield Italian American Club, is a Veteran of the U.S. Army and followed the NY Yankees and NY Giants. He is pre-deceased by his loving wife Marge who died in 2007 and by his brother Charles who died in 2006. Surviving are his 3 children; Karen Butrico of Bedminster (Don Liebling) Jayne Duffy and her husband Robert of Edison and Frank Butrico and his wife Maria of Warren, his sisters; Grace Bertucci and her husband John of Edison, Anna Demico and her husband Dominic of South Plainfield and Theresa Tolischus also of South Plainfield, his brothers; Angelo of Warren, and William and his wife Pat of South Plainfield. Also surviving are his 4 grandchildren; Jessica and Courtney Duffy and Frankie and Nicole Butrico. Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, July 23, 2009 at 8:45 AM in the McCriskin - Gustafson Home For Funerals, 2425 Plainfield Ave., South Plainfield followed by a 10:15 AM funeral mass at St. Francis of Assisi Cathedral, Metuchen. Interment will follow at Hillside Cemetery, Scotch Plains. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 22, 2009 from 2-4 & 7-9 PM in the funeral home. In Lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made to the family of Megan Marie Daly c/o McCriskin - Gustafson Home For Funerals, 2425 Plainfield Ave., South Plainfield.
