Obituary of Paul C. Thievon

Paul C. Thievon, Jr. South Plainfield - Paul C. Thievon, Jr., 67, passed away on Thursday, August 26, 2010 in the Haven Hospice within JFK Medical Center in Edison after a long illness. Born in Plainfield, Paul had resided in South Plainfield for all of his life. He was a graduate of South Plainfield High School where he excelled in basketball. He was a key player on the varsity team that was undefeated during its regular season and Paul was selected to the All State and All County Teams. Paul owned and operated a commercial and industrial paint contracting company for many years and prior to his retirement, Paul later joined his wife as a real estate agent. He was a sports enthusiast, enjoyed playing golf, was a past member of Raritan Valley Country Club and a fan of the New York Yankees. Predeceased by his parents, Loretta & Paul, he is survived by his wife, Maryhelen (Perdi ), his four children, Lori Thievon Wright and Daniel Levine of Scotch Plains, Paul & Amy Thievon of Middlesex, John and Trisha Thievon of Westlake, TX., and Liz Thievon and Jeff Orth of South Plainfield, a sister, Rita Mullin of Alexandria, VA., his mother in law, Mary Perdie, as well as, several nieces, nephews, extended family members and dear friends. Also surviving are his eight beloved grandchildren; Alexander (AJ) and Mackenzie Wright, Alexa and Nicholas Thievon, Jack, Harrison and Ava Thievon and Jade Orth. Funeral services will begin on Tuesday, August 31, 2010 at 9:15 AM in the McCriskin - Gustafson Home For Funerals 2425 Plainfield Ave. South Plainfield, NJ 07080 followed by a 10:00 AM funeral mass in Sacred Heart RC Church, South Plainfield, NJ. Interment will follow in Hillside Cemetery, Scotch Plains, NJ. Family and friends may attend the visitation hours on Monday, August 30, 2010 from 2-4 & 7-9 PM in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers donation in his memory may be made to the charity of one's choice.
