Frank F. Franchak South Plainfield - Frank F. Franchak, 76, died on Monday, January 14, 2007 at home. Born in Perth Amboy, Mr. Franchak grew up in the Woodbridge area. He lived in Philadelphia where he received his B.S. from the Philadelphia College of Pharmacy and Science graduating in 1959. After graduation Frank moved to South Plainfield where he has resided for the past 49 years. For nearly 30 years Frank worked as a Pharmacist for the Schering Plough Corp. in Kenilworth. He was a member of the South Plainfield Knights of Columbus Council 6203 and he also served with the U.S. Army served during the Korean Conflict. Mr. Franchak enjoyed fishing, crabbing, and playing golf. Surviving are his wife Marie (Sutter), 2 daughters: Beth Gallant and her husband Raymond of South Plainfield and Judy Franchak and her husband Tom Lokos of Piscataway, his son David and his wife Elvira of South Plainfield, 6 grandchildren; Matthew, Melissa, and Jake Gallant, Ashley, Zach, and Luke Franchak, and Craig and Kim Kulick, his great grandson Ryan, 1 brother, 2 sister, his sister in-law and her husband Ted and Georgean Pichalski of Edison, and 2 brothers in-law; John Sutter of Mt. Laurel and Ricky Sutter of Arizona. Also surviving are many nieces and nephews. Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, January 16, 2008 at 9:15 AM in the McCriskin - Gustafson Home For Funerals, 2425 Plainfield Ave., South Plainfield followed by a 10:00 AM funeral mass at Sacred Heart RC Church, South Plainfield. Interment will follow in Hillside Cemetery, Scotch Plains. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, January 15, 2008 from 5-8 PM in the funeral home.
