South Plainfield - Eusebio M. Cruz, 87, passed away Monday, October 5, 2015 at Arista Care at Cedar Oaks in South Plainfield.
Born in Cuba, Eusebio immigrated to the United States in 1972 with his wife, Marcelina. They resided in Union City, NJ and West New York before settling to South Plainfield 6 years ago.
A talented carpenter by trade, Eusebio retired from Flexi-Van in Secaucus after many years of devoted service. He enjoyed doing word searches, watching the news and Yankees baseball.
Eusebio's greatest achievement was when he brought his daughter, son in law and grandchildren from Cuba to the United States. He will be remembered as a loving husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather.
Surviving are his wife of 67 years, Marcelina ( Fernandez); daughter, Martha Rodriguez and husband, Ramon of South Plainfield; son, John and wife, Josie of Weston, Fl; five grandchildren, Lian Marrero, Ray Rodriguez, Blake Cruz, Taylor Cruz and Barrett Cruz and two great grandchildren, Chris and Michael Marrero.
Visitation will begin on Wednesday, October 7, 2015 from 5-8PM in the McCriskin - Gustafson Home For Funerals, 2425 Plainfield Avenue, South Plainfield, NJ 07080.
