Somerville, NJ - Roy F. Canavesio, 69, passed away with his loving family by his side on Tuesday, November 24, 2015 at Haven Hospice located within JFK Medical Center in Edison. Born and raised in Middlesex, Roy has lived in Somerville for the past thirty years. An honorably discharged veteran, Roy proudly served in the United States Army Reserves for eight years. A graduate of OLMV School, he graduated Middlesex High School in 1964. He was a sales associate with Macy's in Bridgewater for twenty-three years. He is predeceased by his parents; Raymond and Mary (Krasnansky) Canavesio, step-mother Antoinette Canavesio, daughter Meagan Renee Canavesio and his siblings; Mary Lou Assante and Russell Canavesio. Roy leaves behind his loving children; Dennis Canavesio and his wife Sharon of Middlesex and Lindsay Canavesio of Largo, FL, his sister Loreli Konsko and her husband Michael of Bridgewater, former wife and dear friend Karole Canavesio-Lechowski and her husband Edward of Bridgewater along with seven cherished grandchildren; Kayla and her husband Matt, Ryan, Elizabeth, Gianna, Sarah, Michael and Marissa. Visitation will take place in Middlesex Funeral Home, 528 Bound Brook Road, Middlesex, NJ 08846 on Friday, November 27, 2015 from 4pm until 8pm and on Saturday, November 28, 2015 from 10:00 am until 11:00 am. Funeral services will begin 11:00 am in the funeral home Saturday, November 28, 2015 followed by a private cremation.
