Obituary of Diane M. Mruczinski

South Plainfield - Diane Mruczinski, passed away on her 65 birthday Thursday, February 20, 2014 with her family at her side in the Haven Hospice within JFK Medical Center in Edison following her battle against Pancreatic cancer. Born in Plainfield to the late, James Moore Lynch and Clementine Theresa Gaito, she grew up in Westfield before settling to South Plainfield at the age of 16. Diane had attended nursing School in NYC and had worked as an X-ray Technician for Roosevelt Hospital in Edison. She was also secretary for Paul Mruczinski Disposal of South Plainfield from 1970 to 1995 and later worked as the manger for M & V Tobacco from 1999-2007 before assisting as a crossing guard at the corner of Lane and Plainfield Ave of South Plainfield. She enjoyed watching her children and grandchildren participate in the various activities and youth sports as well as spending time at the Jersey Shore, boating and skiing. Diane was an amazing and courageous women who will be remembered by all those who knew her as warm, funny, caring and generous. Surviving are her husband, Paul, two children; Pamela Notino and her husband, Frank of South Plainfield and Paul and his wife, Jeannine, of Alpha, five grandchildren; Brianna & Antonella Notino and Cade, Tyler and Jack Mruczinski and her two siblings, Jack Lynch and Maureen Lynch. Funeral services will begin on Monday, February 24, 2014 at 9AM in the McCriskin - Gustafson Home For Funerals, 2425 Plainfield Ave., South Plainfield NJ 07080 followed by a funeral mass in Sacred Heart RC Church at 10AM. Interment will follow in Hillside Cemetery, Scotch Plains. Family and friends may attend visitation on Sunday, February 23, 2014 from 3-7 in the funeral home. Donations may be made in Diane's memory to the American Cancer Society and Pancreatic Action Network.
