Cheryl Lynne Zweeres South Plainfield - Cheryl Lynne ( Walters ) Zweeres, 62, died on Tuesday, August 16, 2011 at home surrounded by her family. Born in Camp Kilmer, NJ, Cheryl had resided in Hawaii and Germany and settled to South Plainfield 32 years ago. She had been employed as a teachers aid in the special education department of the South Plainfield Middle School. Cheryl will be sadly missed by all that have known her and will always be remembered for her compassionate and caring nature, for always putting everyone before herself, a fantastic sense of humor and wit and one who loved animals. Most importantly, she enjoyed spending time with her family and friends and especially her granddaughter. Surviving are her husband of 41 years Thomas, her son; Sean and his wife Stephanie of High Bridge, her daughter; Rebecca Makowski and her husband, Frank of Middlesex and a beloved granddaughter, Riley Rose Makowski. In addition, she is survived by her siblings and their spouses; Karen and Barry Van Hoose of Shorewood, Ill., Robin and Arnie Arce of Brick, Heather and Marcos Roman of Ewing, and Glenn and Carol Walters of Sewell as well as several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will begin on Friday, August 19, 2011 at 11:30 AM in the McCriskin - Gustafson Home for Funerals 2425 Plainfield Ave., South Plainfield, NJ 07080. Interment will follow in Hillside Cemetery, Metuchen, NJ. Family and friends may attend the visitation hours on Thursday, August 18, 2011 from 2-4 & 7-9 PM and 11:00AM until the time of the services on Friday.
