Bridgewater - Cecelia M. (Kolman) Rice, passed away Friday, October 9, 2015 at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital Somerset in Somerville, two days after her 88th birthday. Born and raised in Goshen, NY, Cecelia resided in Newark after graduating high school, where she met her late husband, Kenneth. The two briefly resided in Boomfield before settling in South Plainfield where they raised their three children. In 2005, Cecelia relocated to Bridgewater. A former communicant of Sacred Heart RC Church in South Plainfield, Cecelia enjoyed reading and watching the NY Giants and NY Mets. She enjoyed volunteering at Center Bridge II and lived for her grandchildren. Predeceased by her husband who died in 1981, Kenneth; surviving are her three children, Cheryl Riga and husband, Tony of Hillsborough, Gary Rice and wife, Sue of Bridgewater and Cathy Cloney and husband, Brian of Wall and her brother, Frank Kolman and wife Peg of Goshen, NY. She will also be missed by her nine grandchildren, Jeff, Keith and Nick (Jessica) Conrad, Lauren, Kylie and Alexa Rice and Patrick, Travis and Nolan Cloney and two great grandchildren, Mackenzie and Dylan Conrad. Family and friends may attend visitation on Sunday from 4-7PM and Monday from 9-10AM in the funeral home. Funeral services will begin Monday, October 12, 2015 at 10AM in the McCriskin - Gustafson Home For Funerals, 2425 Plainfield Avenue, South Plainfield, NJ 07080 follow by interment in Holy Redeemer Cemetery, South Plainfield.
