Linda E. Wojciechowski Edison, NJ. & Roxbury, NY. - Linda Ellen (Suydam) Wojciechowski passed away Thursday, April 5, peacefully in her home in Edison, in the loving arms of her family. Linda was born and raised in South Bound Brook, NJ where she also graduated Bound Brook High School. Linda was a devoted wife, loving mother, special aunt, and faithful friend to many. She was blessed to had found her soul mate, and married "the love of her life," Vincent Wojciechowski (known to many as Max) of over 50 years which began their enormous family. Linda and her husband owned and operated the former Knotty Pine Diner on Park Avenue in South Plainfield, NJ. Her nick name was #8 and Willie. After selling their business and retiring, she then enjoyed working at her son's deli, Mountain Lake Deli, in Watchung, NJ over the next 10 years. Linda is remembered by all for her "gift of gab." She was a natural caretaker, a Florence Nightingale. She had a big circle of friends, and her and her husband's life centered around their family, their business and their friendships over the years. Linda loved and cherished every memory. She was also an avid bowler, and in most recent years, enjoyed researching her genealogy and was proud to had discovered her family's Revolutionary War and Mayflower heritage. Predeceased by her parents, Dorothy & George Suydam; sister, Betty Gesualdo; her husband, Vincent Wojciechowski; her son, Vincent Wojciechowski, Jr.; and her son-in-law, Kenneth L. Jones. Surviving are two daughters, Lorry Wojciechowski of Piscataway, NJ. and Jean Jones of Scotch Plains, NJ; two sons; Daniel Wojciechowski and his wife, Stacey of Cobleskill, NY, and John Wojciechowski and his wife, Doreen of Edison, NJ; daughter-in-law, Addie Wojciechowski of Roxbury, NY; a beloved niece, Connie Cross and husband Peter; grandchildren; Sherry, Jeannine, Heather, Shannon, Kelly, Renee, Michelle, Vinny, Ania, Patrick, Jacqueline, Justin, Christopher, Demetri, John and David and 10 great-grandchildren. Funeral services will begin on Tuesday, April 10, 2012 at 11:00 AM in the McCriskin - Gustafson Home For Funerals, 2425 Plainfield Ave., South Plainfield, NJ 07080. Interment will follow in Hillside Cemetery, Scotch Plains, NJ. Visitation will be held on Monday, April 9, 2012 from 6-9 PM in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory maybe made to the St. Jude Children's Foundation, 501 St. Jude Way, Memphis, Tennessee 38105.
