South Plainfield - Angela Massotto,90, died on Thursday, January 23, 2014 in the St. Joseph's Senior Home in Woodbridge.. Born and raised in Italy, Mrs. Massotto came to the United States at the age of 16. She lived in Newark and Irvington prior to settling in South Plainfield in 1984. Angela worked as a seamstress for Imperial Togs in Newark retiring several years ago. Mrs. Massotto enjoyed cooking, gardening, knitting and crocheting but was well known for her homemade pizzas, cookies and afghans she made for nearly everyone in her family. In addition, Mrs. Massotto was a longtime communicant of Sacred Heart RC Church in South Plainfield. She is predeceased by her husband James who died in 1986 and by all of her brothers and sisters. Surviving are her 2 daughters: Mary Ann Fucci and her husband Michael of South Plainfield and Kathleen Kuzan and her husband Roman of Union, and by her 3 grandchildren; Vincent Fucci and his wife Diane, Michael Kuzan and Larissa Kuzan and her fiancé Michael Minitelli. Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, January 28, 2014 at 9:15am in the McCriskin - Gustafson Home For Funerals, 2425 Plainfield Ave., South Plainfield followed by a 10am funeral mass at Sacred Heart RC Church, South Plainfield. Interment will follow in Hillside Cemetery, Scotch Plains. Visitation will be held on Monday, January 27, 2014 from 2-4 & 7-9pm in the funeral home.
