South Plainfield - Phillip A. Pizzolato, 69, died Friday, September 19, 2014 in South Plainfield. Born in Plainfield, Phillip grew up in Scotch Plains and settled to South Plainfield in his early 20's. He attended Scotch Plains - Fanwood Schools and later attended beautician school. He was the owner and operator of Hairem Beauty Salon on the Watchung Circle for forty plus years. In his younger years, Phillip enjoyed boating and spending time at the Jersey Shore. Predeceased by his daughter, Bethany McCue and two brothers, Leonard and Robert, surviving are three children, Cristine Pizzolato Evans and her husband Mike, Stephanie Mann and her husband Patrick, and Phillip Jr. and his wife Ellie; son- in- law, Mike McCue; sister, Lorraine and brother, Donald. He will also be missed by his eight grandchildren, Adrian, Zachery, Phillip Andrew, Alex, Matthew, Ryan, Megan and Sera. A memorial gathering will be held on Tuesday, September 23, 2014 from 10AM until 12noon in the McCriskin - Gustafson Home For Funerals, 2425 Plainfield Ave., South Plainfield NJ 07080, followed by a memorial service at 12noon. Phillip's cremated remains will be interred with his daughter, following the service in Hillside Cemetery, Scotch Plains. In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory maybe made to the Myasthenia Gravis Foundation of America, Inc. 355 Lexington Avenue, 15th Floor New York, NY 10017, www.myasthenia.org
