Obituary of Mary Mente

Middlesex, NJ - Mary (Stritz) Mente, 101, passed away in the early hours of Monday, July 27, 2015 at Bridgeway Care Center in Bridgewater. Born in Weatherly, PA, she moved to Bound Brook in 1948 and became a Middlesex resident in 1972. Mary enjoyed reading and as a devoted homemaker, she was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother & great-grandmother who took great pride in raising her family. She is predeceased by her parents Andrew and Mary (Chippi) Stritz, husband Michael who died in 1966, her son Daniel in 2001 and by five siblings. Mary is survived by her loving and devoted children; Anna Masessa of Middlesex, Mary Lambert of Hillsborough, Michael and his wife Ann Mente of Mississippi, Constance Mente of Middlesex and Charles and his wife Debra Mente of Somerville, her seven dear grandchildren and eight adored great-grandchildren along with her two cherished siblings; Helen O'Donnell and George Stritz both of Weatherly, PA. Funeral services will be held in the Middlesex Funeral Home, 528 Bound Brook Road, Middlesex, NJ 08846 on Thursday, July 30, 2015 beginning with visitation at 10:00 am until an 11:00 am religious service. Burial will follow at Resurrection Burial Park in Piscataway. In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to Compassionate Care Hospice, 9 Lamington Road, Branchburg, NJ 08876.
