Obituary of Joseph M. Krizan

Joseph M. Krizan South Plainfield, NJ - Joseph M. Krizan, 74, died at home on Thursday, December 8, 2011 surrounded by his loving family. Born on January 28, 1937 in Butler, PA to his late parents Michael Thomas and Stella Rose (Gornitsky) Krizan, he spent most of his life in Plainfield and North Plainfield and has been a resident of South Plainfield since 1993. He was honorably discharged from the United States Navy attaining the rank of BTFN. He spent thirty-five years employed for Elizabeth Town Water Company as a supervisor and was known to many as a "ladies man." He enjoyed music, liked to fish and in his earlier years was an avid bowler. He is survived by his children; Joann Solimani and her husband Joseph, Michael and his fiancé Annette Nardiello of South Plainfield and Anthony and his wife Robin of Branchburg. He will be missed by his seven grandchildren and his siblings; Carol Anne Schmedes of Ohio, Francis Avery of Pennsylvania and Thomas Krizan of New Jersey. Funeral services will take place on Monday, December 12, 2011 beginning 10:30 AM in the McCriskin-Gustafson Home for Funerals, 2425 Plainfield Avenue, South Plainfield, NJ 07080 followed by burial at Hillside Cemetery, Scotch Plains. Visitation will be held in the funeral home on Sunday, December 11, 2011 from 2-5 PM and on Monday from 10:00 AM until the service time.
