South Plainfield - Donald J. Ardito, 46, passed away Thursday, November 19, 2015 at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in New Brunswick. Born in Newark, NJ, Don grew up in Edison and graduated from J.P. Stevens High School then earned a BS in Accounting from Rider. He was currently employed with Ashley Furniture. Don touched our lives in so many ways. He was known for being loud, was forever smiling and had an infectious laugh. He lived for his children. He was currently a coach with the South Plainfield Soccer Club, had been actively involved with the Riley School PTSO and had served as the Cub Scout 224 Pack Master. Living for every moment in life, he enjoyed camping trips and vacations with friends and family, Giants games with the guys, being an honorary resident of Ritter Avenue, and just being with the people he loved. Predeceased by his father, Michael, surviving are his wife of 18 years, Susanne and three beautiful children, Isabella, Alexander and Olivia of South Plainfield; mother, Joann Ardito; sister, Alicia Lordi, brother-in-law Jim, and their children James and Matthew; brother John and his children Michael and Giaele. Family and friends are invited to attend visitation on Monday, November 23, 2015 from 4-8PM in McCriskin - Gustafson Home For Funerals, 2425 Plainfield Avenue South Plainfield NJ 07080. Funeral services will begin at 7:30PM in the funeral home. Because Don always wanted to make every child that he coached or mentored feel special, any contribution to any sport, club, or activity that Don was involved in, in honor of his memory would be appreciated.
