Obituary of Marion Branagan

Hillsborough - Marion (Spera) Branagan, 90, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her family on Monday, March 16, 2015. Born and raised in Newark, Marion had resided in South Plainfield for thirty seven years with her late husband before settling to Mullica Hill ten years ago. Prior to retirement she worked as an administrative assistant for Standard Oil and Garden State Manufacturers in South Plainfield. A devout catholic, Marion was a communicant of Sacred Heart RC Church in South Plainfield, she also was involved with the Knights of Columbus Ladies Auxiliary. Predeceased by her husband of 50 years, Robert and three siblings, Carmen, Josephine and Paul, surviving are a daughter; Maryann Jones and her husband, Michael, a son; Michael, and sister, Frances Sears. She will also be missed by her three grandchildren; Lauren, Sean and Brandon and a great granddaughter, Faith. Funeral services will begin on Friday, March 20, 2015 at 9AM in the McCriskin - Gustafson Home For Funerals, 2425 Plainfield Ave., South Plainfield, NJ 07080 www.mccriskinfuneralhome.com followed by a Funeral Mass in Sacred Heart RC Church, South Plainfield at 10AM. Interment will follow in Hollywood Memorial Park, Union. Family and friends may attend the visitation hours on Thursday from 5-9PM in the funeral home.
