Stanley Juva South Plainfield - Stanley Juva, 81, died Monday, August 13, 2012 at JFK Hospital in Edison. Born and raised in South Plainfield, Stanley graduated from North Plainfield High School in 1948. He was drafted into the Marines in 1951 and earned a National Defense Medal. Stanley was a self taught electrician and worked his way up to Chief Supervisor Electrician at Kentile Floors, where he gave 40 years of dedicate service. Mr. Juva was a U.S. history buff and an avid fan of the NY Giants and NY Rangers. His family and friends will miss his recollections of the "early days" in South Plainfield. Predeceased by his wife Anna who died on April 3, 2009, his son, Mark, who died on April 1, 2009, parents; Frank Sr. and Antonia Juva, two brothers; John and Frank Jr., three sisters; Estelle, Adele, Alice and Celia and a grandson; Daniel Juva. Surviving are a daughter; Kathleen Juva of South Plainfield, a son Stanley Juva and his wife Mindy of Somerset, two grandchildren; Heather Juva and Gary Ferguson, his sister Vicki Evans and her husband Tom of South Plainfield and sister-in-law Mary of Edison and many nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held on Friday, August 17, 2012 at 9:15AM in the McCriskin - Gustafson Home For Funerals, 2425 Plainfield Ave., South Plainfield, NJ 07080, followed by a 10:00 AM funeral mass in Our Lady of Czestochowa RC Church, South Plainfield. Cremation will be held private. Visitation will be held on Thursday, August 16, 2012 from 2-4 & 7-9 PM in the funeral home.
