Obituary of Barbara M. Ardowski

Mosheim, TN - Barbara M. Ardowski, 70, died on Monday, June 10, 2013 in Life Care Center of Greeneville, Greeneville, TN. Born in Salisbury, MD, to the late, Rev. Claude and Hester Brown, she resided in South Plainfield before moving to Escondido, CA in 1988. Barbara settled to Mosheim, TN in December of 2003. Barbara was employed for the Borough of South Plainfield for eleven years, first as a records clerk for the South Plainfield Police Department, and later as the payroll clerk in the Borough's Payroll Department. She was a past president of the former South Plainfield Jaycettes. Barbara was an avid bowler and a member of many bowling leagues in Central Jersey, she also enjoyed to crochet, quilting and gardening. She is predeceased by her husband, Richard R. Ardowski. who died in 2004 and her daughter; Linda Ford who recently passed away on June 1, 2013. Also predeceased are her sister, Lois Brown Rogers and brother, Carroll Lee Brown. Surviving are her daughters; Elaine Albertocki of South Plainfield and Vicki Crooks of Knoxville, TN., step daughter; Susan Queen of Longwood, FL., step sons; Joseph Ardowski of Atlanta, GA. and Alfred Ardowski of Phillipsburg, NJ., sister, Judy Bozman and brother, David Brown. She will also be missed by her grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be on Saturday, June, 15, 2013 at 10:30 AM in the McCriskin-Gustafson Home For Funerals, 2425 Plainfield Avenue, South Plainfield, NJ 07080, Interment will follow in Hillside Cemetery, Scotch Plains Visitation will be held on Friday from 7-9 PM in the funeral home In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Amedisys Hospice, 127 Serral Drive, Suite # 1, Greeneville, TN 37745
