Plainfield- Dorett Whinfield Sealey, age 61, entered into eternal peace on the morning of Sunday, February 9, 2014 at JFK Medical Center after a very brief and sudden illness. Dorett was born in El Dorado Village, West Coast, Berbice, Guyana on December 1, 1952 to the parents of the late Thedmon and Olga Whinfield. She migrated to the United States on January 30, 2011 and resided in New Jersey. In Guyana, Dorett attended St. Mary's Angelican Primary school at Beterwagting Village, East Coast Demerara. She continued her education at Tutorial High School from 1966-1970. She was employed in Guyana at the Deeds Registrar and the Ministry of Labor. Dorett always strived for excellence and elevation in her work and daily life, she pursued her goal and returned to school and earned a B. A. in Public Management at the University of Guyana. With her utmost dedication, Dorett continued her elevation in the office of the President of Guyana and the Ministry of Health where she retired after serving the Public Service for 35 years. Dorett enjoyed life and her precious time with her dear family. She loved God with all her heart. She was a very kind and gentle soul, who always have a smile, a good advice and was always willing to help anyone. She gave her life to God and became an active member of the Newtown Assembly of God Church in Kitty, Georgetown, Guyana. In, New Jersey, she became an active member and worshipped at Ruth Fellowship Ministries in Plainfield. Dorett leaves behind to cherish her memories and legacy, her daughter Mellisa, son Marvin, her adorable grandson Ramel, son-in-law Ravi, siblings; Lorraine Pompey and Keith Angus, nieces; Devonna, Dionne, Alicia, Richlyn, nephews; Shemroy and others, brother-in-law Richard Pompey and sister-in-law Annie Angus, cousins; Desiree Primo, the Gibsons, the Prices, the Kipps, and Faith Whinfield and other numerous cousins, great nieces and nephews, Godchildren and honored family and friends especially Audrey Thomas. May her soul Rest in Peace with the Lord in heaven.
