Obituary of Thomas John Rusk

Edison - Thomas John Rusk, 51, died suddenly Sunday, June 2, 2013 at home. Born in Elizabeth, Tom was raised in Rahway and Colonia before settling to Edison in 1983. He worked as a Licensed Master Plumber for many years before retiring and beginning a new career as a stay at home dad. Tom throughly enjoyed being outside. He could often be found hunting, fishing, snowmobiling or four wheeling. He is survived by his wife of thirty years; Sue Ann (Gladysz), two daughters; Sarah and Christina, parents; John and Barbara Rusk, sister; Jane Ann Tierney and her husband John Sr., brother; Paul Rusk, Sr. and his wife Geralyn, niece; Janna Tierney and three nephews; John Tierney Jr., Paul Rusk Jr. and Sean Smith. He will also be missed by his best friend; Rob Compton. A funeral mass will be held Thursday, June 6, 2013 at10AM in Sacred Heart RC Church, 149 South Plainfield Ave., South Plainfield NJ 07080. Cremation will follow privately. Family and friends may attend visitation on Wednesday, June 5, 2013 from 6-9PM in the McCriskin - Gustafson Home For Funerals, 2425 Plainfield Ave., South Plainfield NJ 07080.
