Obituary of Dustin W. Hovan

Mohrsville, PA. Dustin William Hovan, 33, passed away suddenly on Friday, July 5, 2013 at St. Joseph's Hospital in Reading, PA. Born in Somerville, Dustin grew up in Dunellen and was based in various locations throughout the US and Europe while serving our country proudly as a staff sergeant in the United States Army. He has resided in Mohrsville for the past two years and had been working as a corrections officer at the Berks County Jail System. He joined the Army in September of 1999 and was discharged in June of 2009 after serving in the 19D Calvary as a Scout. He was decorated veteran receiving many badges and awards for his service. Dustin loved to fish and fully enjoyed the outdoors, its wildlife and was a gun enthusiast. He also enjoyed collection coins and was a member of the Dunellen VFW. He will be sadly missed by his wife Cassandra (Huttemann), their beloved three young children; Savanna, Tyler and Cheyenne. His parents; Margaret and William of Dunellen, brother; Sean of Tenants Harbor, Maine, aunt; Claire McCarthy of Tenants Harbor, Maine, mother and father in law; Cheryle and Charles Huttemann of Stewartsville, sister in law; Candice Wilhelm of Washington and brother in law; Charles Huttemann of Ft. Gordon, GA and many nieces and nephews that loved him dearly. Visitation for family and friends will begin on Wednesday, July 10, 2013 at 10:00 AM and conclude at 12 noon in the McCriskin - Gustafson Home For Funerals, 2425 Plainfield Ave. South Plainfield, NJ 07080. Funeral services will begin at 12 noon Wednesday in the funeral home, followed by committal services with full military honors in Hollywood Memorial Park , Union. Donations in his memory may be made to the American Red Cross.
