Obituary of Rose B. Mirutkin

Columbus, NJ - Rose ( nee Benanti ) Mirutkin, 82, died on Wednesday, December 4, 2013 at home surrounded by her family. Born and raised in New Brunswick, she had lived in Somerset and resided in Piscataway for many years before moving to Columbus 10 years ago. Rose was employed as a Business Specialist for 17 years with Rutgers Department of Housing in New Brunswick, NJ. Prior to Rutgers she had been employed with the Department of Agriculture, Fort Dix and Camp Kilmer. Rose was a member of the Altar Rosary Society at St. Andrews RC Church in Jobstown NJ, a former member of Our Lady of Fatima RC Church in Piscataway, NJ and was active with the Piscataway Senior Citizens. Rose also served as a Girl Scout Leader. She enjoyed bowling, playing cards and trips to Atlantic City, but most important to her was spending time with her grandchildren. Surviving are her husband of 51 years, Alfred, three daughters; Karen Fulfaro of Columbus, NJ, Sharon ( Anthony ) Masso of North Brunswick, NJ and Diane (Fernando) Mascioli of Newtown Square, PA, and a brother, Joseph ( Joanne ) Benanti of Piscataway. Also surviving are four grandchildren, Nicholas J. and Kaitlyn Fulfaro and Gabriella & Gianna Mascioli. Funerals services will begin Saturday, December 7, 2013 at 9:15 AM in the McCriskin-Gustafson Home For Funerals, 2425 Plainfield Ave., South Plainfield, NJ followed by a funeral mass in Our Lady of Fatima RC Church, Piscataway at 10 AM. Interment will follow in Resurrection Burial Park, Piscataway. Visitation will be held on Friday, December 6, 2013 from 2-4 &7-9 PM in the funeral home.
