Little Andzia, 92 Ann Sieroga Helmicki passed away peacefully on Friday, April 4, 2014 at AristaCare at Cedar Oaks in South Plainfield. Born and raised in Buffalo, NY Ann lived abroad during post WWII with her beloved husband, Edward, who was a career Soldier. After returning to the States, there were stops throughout the domestic US before settling in Bay Ridge, Brooklyn, NY for many years. Ann was a caring person, who loved her family and friends. She enjoyed animals of all types and sizes. Ann was quite a sports enthusiast who liked to follow her New York Teams; it could have been a result from having three males in the home. She was an accomplished bridge player and mentor to many of her lady friends in Bay Ridge. A transition was made to New Jersey, where Ann lived her golden years. Ann was predeceased by her eldest son, Ronald; husband, Edward and brother Stanley Sieroga. Surviving are her younger son, Robert (Anne) and her twin sister, Jean Drogoszewski, along with relatives throughout the US. Funeral services will begin on Tuesday, April 8, 2014 at 9AM at McCriskin - Gustafson Home For Funerals, 2425 Plainfield Ave., South Plainfield NJ 07080 followed by a funeral mass in Our Lady of Czestochowa, South Plainfield at 10AM. Interment will follow in Calverton National Cemetery, Calverton, NY. Family and friends may attend visitation on Monday, April 7th from 2-4PM & 7-9PM in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to your favorite Charity.
