Obituary of Edward J. Glowacki

South Plainfield - Edward Glowacki, 93, died Sunday, January 11, 2015 in the Brighton Gardens of Edison. Born in Plainfield, Mr. Glowacki settled to South Plainfield in 1952. During World War II, Mr, Glowacki served in the South Pacific with the Navy Seabees of the 33rd Naval Construction Battalion form 1942 until his honorable discharge 1945. A retired plumber of the Plumber's Union Local #24 in East Caldwell, he was a long time member of Sacred Heart Church in South Plainfield, HFC of HNS and Nocturnal Adoration Society. Edward is predeceased by his wife of 54 years, who died in 2004, Theresa Anna (Frank); brother, Joseph John Glowacki and his parents, Ignacz and Petrunela (Lisowka). Surviving are his daughter, Theresa Glowacki Seibert and husband George of South Plainfield; sons, Edward and wife Corrine of Pt. Pleasant, Joseph and wife Lisa of South Plainfield, Peter and wife Theresa of Florida and John of South Plainfield. He also leaves behind seven grandchildren and four great grandchildren. A memorial gathering will begin on Thursday, January 15, 2015 from 6-9PM in the McCriskin - Gustafson Home For Funerals, 2425 Plainfield Ave., South Plainfield NJ 07080. Committal Services will be held on Friday, January 16, 2015 at 11:30 AM in the Mausoleum Chapel at Holy Redeemer Cemetery, South Plainfield, NJ 07080.
