Carol M. Bucchignano South Plainfield - Carol M. (Orlando) Bucchignano, 61, died on Thursday, March 10, 2011 at home. Born and raised in New York City, Carol resided in the Gravesend section of Brooklyn before moving to South Plainfield, NJ in 1992. She had been employed by the South Plainfield School System as a cafeteria worker. Referred to as "Nani" by her two grandchildren, Carol was loving wife, mother, sister and grandmother as well as a dear aunt to her many nieces and nephews. She is pre deceased by a brother Peter Orlando. Surviving is her loving family, her husband of 40 years; Steven, two daughters; Lori Bucchignano of South Plainfield, NJ and Nicole Trafficante of Brick, NJ., her son, Steven and his wife Kristen of Kenilworth, NJ, her sister; Theresa Diorio and her husband Ronald of New York City and two brothers; Nicholas Orlando and his wife Albina of Brooklyn, NY and Robert Orlando and his wife Pat of Yonkers, NY. Also surviving are her two grandchildren; Joseph and Anthony Trafficante, her beloved pet, Max and several friends in South Plainfield and Brooklyn. Funeral Services will be held on Monday, March 14, 2011 at 9:15 AM in the McCriskin - Gustafson Home For Funerals, 2425 Plainfield Ave., South Plainfield, NJ 07080 followed by a 10:00 AM funeral mass at Sacred RC Church, South Plainfield, NJ 07080. Interment will follow at Resurrection Cemetery, Staten Island. Visitation is Saturday and Sunday, March 12 & 13, 2011 from 2-4 & 7-9 PM in funeral home.
